Name the user, the decision or task, and the outcome that would make the work worthwhile. Avoid treating a technical possibility as a validated need.

02 / Understand what already exists

Research the domain and the available tools. Compare building, adopting and composing before committing to a new implementation.

03 / Make a bounded intervention

Choose the smallest useful change with clear constraints, explicit interfaces and a reversible implementation path.

04 / Measure against the baseline

Define the comparison, data and acceptance rule before collecting results. Include failure cases and cases the system has not seen during development.

05 / Keep the supporting record

Retain the configuration, outputs, observations and limitations. Another person should be able to understand what the result does and does not establish.

06 / Improve, promote or stop

Scale a pattern when repeated evidence supports it. Revise what fails. Stop work whose value does not justify its complexity.
